It’s official: No Flash support on the iPhone

Crying about the iPhoneSources at WWDC are reporting that there is officially no Flash support on the iPhone. Apparently, in the State of the Media address yesterday, the announcement was made that: “There will be no Flash support at the moment on the iPhone.” Developers are being told not to serve video via Flash, as there simply isn’t a player built for the phone yet.

    “It’s _official_”

    “Via The _Unofficial_ Apple Weblog”

    wtf?

How about calling it official news when the product is released, instead of all this speculation?

Hi Derek. Thanks for the comment. I wish it was someone other than “The Unofficial Apple Weblog” who first posted this, but all the same, they did in fact report that an Apple representative said that the phone does not currently support Flash (and so the New York Times Web site could not have displayed it).

I agree with you that all the speculation is getting old. But this is as close to the horses mouth as I have seen.
