Ryan Unger
Ryan Unger is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Punchkick Interactive, America’s first design firm to focus exclusively on full-service mobile marketing. Ryan has over 15 years of experience with programming and development, and has dedicated the past six years almost exclusively to emerging and mobile technologies. Ryan has spearheaded mobile efforts for many of the world’s most well-recognized brands including Harley-Davidson, Allstate, GE, UPS, Qualcomm, Pearson Education, and Microsoft.
During his career, Ryan’s work has received a number of design and marketing awards from organizations including the Mobile Marketing Association, the American Advertising Federation, the Public Relations Society of America, the Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards, and the Web Marketing Association. He has been cited in the book Mobile Web Design by Cameron Moll, has authored for Adobe.com, and previously sat on Adobe’s Mobile and Devices Advisory Committee. Currently, Ryan serves as a judge for the Mobile Marketing Awards, as well as the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition and Internet Advertising Competition.
Zak Dabbas
Zak Dabbas is the Co-Founder and CEO of Punchkick Interactive. A self-described mobile evangelist, Zak has played a key role in the launch of integrated mobile campaigns for brands including Harley-Davidson, UPS, Microsoft, Allstate Insurance Co., and Pearson Education. Zak has overseen mobile strategy for Punchkick since its founding in 2006, and has helped the company experience over 200% year-over-year organic growth for the past two years. In 2009, Zak was the co-creator of a mobile campaign for UPS that won a Forrester Groundswell award and two Mobile Marketing Association awards–including one for best mobile campaign globally. Zak received his J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and today serves as a judge for the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward competition, and speaks at events including the nation’s largest e-retailing conference, the Internet Retailer Conference and Expo.
Zak’s personal theory on mobile marketing is simple: content is king. Only by creating engaging mobile campaigns which provide something of true value to an end user, can the mobile marketing medium emerge as the unstoppable force it is destined to be.
