Mobile Marketing Blog

I never write 2 posts about the same topic but Microsoft’s Milan is just amazing.
You can actually:
1. Take a photo on a digital camera
2. Place the camera on the table
3. Place you cell phone on the table
4. Drag the visual image of the photo from the camera to the phone

    Alessandro—
That’s exactly what I was excited about. It’s like bluetooth on speed but better. I can’t wait for this technology to take off.

I don’t know if it is like bluetooth on speed. It is like bluetooth, just regular. They sort of downplay the fact that there needs to be an array of infrared cameras around the table to pull this stuff off.

Certainly cool, but not as cool as microsoft would want us to believe.

I think I know what you mean. The table is about 2 feet thick because of all the infrared. Also, some of the videos that I have seen had bulky coaster-like devices on the bottom of things so that the infrared could read what something was.

Much like when car companies show you the concept car—this table probably will change before consumer launch.
