Verizon no longer has the best coverage. i do not get service at my house with verizon but AT & T does. I want to cancel because of this and was told that I will be charged 350.00 to cancel. this is highway robbery if you ask me. My neighbors had sprint and went to them to cancel because they too want to switch to AT&T so that they have cell service at thier house, Sprint waived the cancellation fee. they said they appreciated the time they spent with them and would waive the fee, and they did! If verizon refuses to at least discount the cancellation fee, i will ultimatly be leaving verizon wireless anyway… just with very poor feelings towards them.

I have another phone given to me last year. I am waiting for Verizon contract to expire on Jan. 27, 2011. That is what the agent said I should do when I called him back in December 2010. Again, is the statement I received to be paid by me before you cancel me out?

I have called to cancel my Verizon cell phone of which I was told the contract ends on January 27th of 2011. I just received a statement, do I pay this or am I already paid for the whole month of January prepaid at beginning of contract?

I also had the same problem as Bill Ronchi. I was charged $135 for each of the 3 phones I cancelled and I made sure my plan was up before I did this! My contract ended 2 years ago! This is beyond crazy and illegal. I should not have to pay this.

I have four cell phones in my house hold I just change my phone for a new one my wife thru the box away with the bar code customer service said I am out of luck so I need to know how I go about to cancel all my cell phones my home phone and my internet service.

Until recently I had been with Verizon since 2002. I had upgraded cell phones with them periodically. I am sure everytime I upgraded it was a new contract. I last upgrsded back in 2007 and my new 2 yr contract went into effect. Recently I changed cell phone service b/c of financial considerations. Verizon hit me with a $60 early termination fee which to me is illegal
b/c the 2 year contract had expired long ago. If they renew the contract after expiration, that would be unethical and illegal b/c if that is the case they never informed me.
I threatened not to pay the early term fee. Who is right?

I am closing my account with you. After many years of service, the loyalty apparently only works one way. The charges are too high for needed services, and I only remained for
“best coverage” status. But I consider it bondage when you promise freedom to move in and out of plans freely, then actually charge to do it–AND demand extended service. I’m done. CG

hi! my name is darby, i would like to cancel my virizon internet, because i cannot pay my bill anymore, i just resently lost my job, and now i don’t have maoney to pay for it. i was wondering if thiers anyway i can do to pay for it later soon i get a job? pls. just cancel my account thank you.
